Many of our readers may or may not know- we are a deaf family of 4. All 4 of us wear hearing aids and are bilingual (American Sign Language)

FLORIDA HANDS AND VOICES - BURGER21 FUNDRAISER | NOTHINGBUTCOUNTRY.COM

I volunteer for a very great organization called “Florida Hands & Voices” Florida Hands & Voices is a state chapter of the nationwide organization, Hands & Voices, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families and their children who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as the professionals who serve them. We are a parent-driven, parent/professional collaborative group that is unbiased towards communication modes and methods. We believe that what works for your child is what makes the choice right. Our diverse membership includes those who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families who communicate orally, with American Sign Language, cued speech, or with a combination of communication methods.

We are having a fundraiser locally and wanted my Central Florida readers to know about it!!

Florida Hands & Voices – an organization for families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing – is having a fund raiser at your favorite new place, Burger21 (THE UCF LOCATION ONLY). All you need to do is eat there on April 19, 20 or 21st and give your server a copy of the attached flyer. 10% of the sale will go to Florida Hands & Voices. Please feel free to distribute this flyer to anyone you know in any way you’d like (email, social media, etc). The more people we get to visit the new Burger21 and the more money we raise for FL H&V, the better!
