This is craziness. We have made this a few times since we got the recipe from our wonderful friend in Utah. She told us about this Christmas Morning Sticky Buns. I thought.. that is too easy. Of course.. Chad and I we always tweak our recipes. And since we have made them a few times since Christmas (I know its only New Years Day!!) The kids and big kids love it. And to make them are easy peasy.
Here is how the North family makes our Sticky Buns
Ingredients-
1 cup chopped pecans (we often have way more than 1 cup we love nuts!!)
1 (12 oz) package of frozen dinner roll dough (our store only has 24 oz so 1/2 of a bag)
1 (5 oz) package of instant butterscotch pudding (I have heard if you do not like butterscotch use vanilla)
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (we do not follow this, we just pour/shake as much as we want we love cinnamon!!)
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, melted
Directions-
1- Sprinkle nuts in the bottom of a heavily (more the better!!) greased bundt pan. Lay the frozen dinner roll dough on top of the pecans. (You can use walnuts too). Sprinkle all the pudding mix over the frozen rolls, then the brown sugar, then the cinnamon sprinkled over the top. Pour the melted margarine over all. Lay a damp towel over the pan and place in a cold oven over night.
2- In the morning, remove towel and pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Then bake for 20-25 minutes.
3- Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes (no more or it will start to harden the sticky caramel yummy stuff), then flip out onto a plate. (Make sure your plate is big enough
Then enjoy!!!
As I said.. this is so easy and soooo yummmmmy! This will definitely be a 2010 favorite for our family for weekend breakfasts!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Yum! I tried this recipe a while back and it is sooo good. I think I shall have to try it again soon! Thanks for the reminder…. 🙂
