As mentioned earlier I was room mom for 3 years for my daughter. We are a deaf family of 4 — Yes all 4 of us wear hearing aids- making us an 8 hearing aid family 🙂
So many of the projects you will see some SIGN LANGUAGE involved
I decorated the door for my daughters teacher. She was in early education at the elementary school since the age of 3 she could not speak yet. (Thankful for her wonderful teacher she hasn’t stopped since) HAHA
So she was a small fry going to early preK from age 3, 4 and 5..
ANYWAYS– I LOVED decorating the doors. My husband and I are also photographers so we took photos of the class all 3 years to go with the theme. All the pictures were just printed on our ink jet and cut out. Nothing fancy.
I love how they all turned out every year. And you can see how the class GREW over the years. Last year was combined deaf with hearing which made it a wonderful program.
So my last year had to support MANY kiddlets. I was thrilled how it all came together.
I also had a bit of competitiveness in me, and had to go above and beyond 🙂
Hope you enjoy these doors I created. The thumbnails below you can click on to view more of the doors in details.
These are awesome! I was planning on decorating my 2 kid’s teachers doors and this gave me inspiration! Thanks for sharing. If you would like, visit my blog at http://www.beckyssoutherncreation.blogspot.com for some free tag printables for teacher’s appreciation! Enjoy!
This is a great idea… when I was room parent for my daughter a few years back we did this. Her teacher loved it!
