My son was invited to a friends birthday. They are both teenagers and wasn’t sure what to give to a teen as a gift. However when his mom told me he loved Minecraft (as do both my children) I knew exactly what to do.
I purchased a shirt at Micheal’s crafts in a lime green. Using my silhouette machine and black iron on vinyl I created a creeper face. And ironed it on the shirt.
I also had a green tie. I purchased a few of them online some time back. Since this teen was a friend from Church I knew the boys wear ties every sunday and thought this would be pretty cool to have as well. I had made one for my son. Ironed on vinyl creeper face at the bottom of the tie.
Then to wrap it all up- using my silhouette machine- created a gift bag. Cutting out on carstock his name and the creeper face and glued it on.
My son was very excited to give this gift and he said his friend enjoyed the gift as well since it was one of a kind 🙂
I have since had to make my Daughter a shirt as well. She wears it ALL THE TIME!
It was an easy gift to create and meant more to my kids that it was something mom put together rather than just purchased at the store 🙂
I have been meaning to share this for a while and realized I never blogged this yet.
